Earlier this month, I invited Minister Jack Chambers to Citywest to discuss with him some of the issues faced by residents around Citywest Avenue & surrounding estates.
Myself and @johnlaharttd have been working together to highlight the issues of insufficient parking and the poor road design on Citywest Avenue with South Dublin County Council and An Garda Siochána. It was great to hear that Minister Chambers will discuss the road layout with the National Transport Authority, with a view to finding a solution for residents.
While Minister Chambers was in Citywest, I also took the opportunity to raise the issue of the Luas timetable and capacity. Minister Chambers will follow up to see if we can get a date for the new timetable and introduction of the new Luas fleet as per previous correspondence from the Minister of Transport, Eamon Ryan.
We also took the opportunity between the rain showers to visit some residents in Edenbrook. It was no surprise that parking is a top priority for residents. We will continue to work with all of the relevant authorities to ensure there is a suitable solution put in place, which will work for the betterment of the residents around Citywest Avenue.
